How It Works

Get Licensed. Get Legit. Get Trained by Nick Young Tattoos.

Whether you're chasing ink or piercings, this is your path to becoming a licensed tattooist or body piercer in Missouri—no gatekeeping, no guesswork. We built this system for artists who want clarity, grit, and a real shot at the industry.

Step 1: Choose Your Entry Point

You’ve got two ways to start:

  • Pay In Full Lock in your full apprenticeship and skip the piecemeal. You’ll get access to all 100 modules, priority studio placement, and a fast track to your license.

  • Purchase a Module Pack Not ready to commit fully? Grab a Module Pack—10 lessons out of the 100 required. It’s a bite-sized way to start learning and see if this path is for you.

Step 2: Begin Your Online Coursework

Once your payment clears (usually within 72 hours), you’ll get access to your online training portal. This is where the real work begins—video lessons, quizzes, technique breakdowns, and KC-rooted industry knowledge.

Step 3: Receive Your Welcome Package

About 7–10 days after your coursework unlocks, your Welcome Package ships out. It includes:

  • Tattoo or piercing supplies

  • Your starter kit

  • Nick Young Tattoos merch

  • Swag that marks you as part of the crew

Step 4: Complete 7 Out of 10 Modules

Once you’ve knocked out 7 modules from your first pack, you’re eligible to request migration to our in-studio segment. That means you’ll train directly inside our licensed Kansas City, MO tattoo & body piercing establishment.

Step 5: Perform 50 Tattoo or Piercing Procedures

Inside the studio, you’ll complete 50 supervised procedures—real clients, real skin, real experience. This is where your skills sharpen and your confidence locks in.

Step 6: Apply for Your Missouri License

After completing your 50 procedures, you’re eligible to apply for your State of Missouri Tattooist or Body Piercer Practitioner License. The fee is $100, paid directly to the state.

Once approved—you’re licensed. No fluff. No mystery. Just truth, training, and transformation.
